We have often heard stories about a highly anticipated or ambitious or the most desirable dream coming true.
But this one is something different and is about a dream unseen coming true.
The story begins in 1997.
There was a girl of around 10 years old. She used to live in a small city with her family.
In that city, during summer season, power outage was a normal phenomenon.
That small girl used to sleep on the terrace with her Mom or Dad during those nights of power outage.
Few of the times she would see, aeroplanes flying in the sky right among those twinkling stars.
Every time that small girl used to see those airplanes, she used to
question her Mom "Mummy us aeroplane me baithe logon ko kitna achha feel
hota hoga na!!!!Kitni uunchaai pe hain vo!!!!Darr bhi lagta hoga kya
unhe!!!! and her Mom had the same answer each time the small girl asked
this question.
Her Mom would say "Usme baithne ke bahot paise
lagte hain.Padhaai to tum karti nahi ho,bina padhai ke paise nahi
aayenge.Isiliye, usme baith nahi paogi."
After listening this statement, that small girl could not say anything and prefer to keep mum.
Few years passed,everything remained same..power outages,aeroplanes
flying in the sky, twinkling stars and the small girl sleeping beneath
the sky with her Mom and Dad except one thing that now the small girl
would never ask that question every time she would see the aeroplanes
passing through her terrace.
She preferred to stop thinking
about the excitement of people siting in that aeroplane at a height of
approximately 35000 feet above sea level rather than studying hard.
The former was much easier for her than the latter.
Then came April 2010.
There was the same girl now of age around 23 years, sitting in a jet
airways flight at the similar height of approximately 35000 feet above
sea level beneath the clouds and among the stars.
Oops, I forgot to mention the flight tickets she had bought were from her own salary.
At approximately 10 PM IST, Kolkata seemed to be celebrating Diwali
with all those lights glowing in every houses while she was flying to
her home town for Holi.
Then in 2011 and 2012, she also came to
know, how it feels like being among the sky and up in the air from
Delhi and Mumbai as well, still many more to go.
Hope, some day
she would buy a chopper of her own. Though she never dreams of it.You
see, many times dreams unseen also comes true....:)
And all this was possible because of her loving Mom and Dad and last but not the least her friends.
How could she forget mentioning the contribution of her friends in her
flying up in the sky. They are the one who made her believe that she is
capable of flying where as the capacity of flying was undoubtedly
provided by her parents..:)
She does dream of some day sitting with them in her own chopper enjoying music and eating pizza...
You see, Roohi loves pizza a lot...:D:D
